We have been amazed by the enteries in this year's Easter Egg competition. So many wonderful Olympic ideas!
I think Mr Kidd has the hardest task trying to pick the winning eggs!
Parents thank you so much for your contributions as well!

The children in Key Stage One had a fabulous Christmas party and had fun dancing and playing party games!
Man of the Match!
We are so proud of Jamie as he was awarded 'Man of the Match' for his fantastic effort in his football match at the weekend. Well done Jamie!
Another crazy day at Carr Hill! Today is World book Day 2012 and to celebrate the day along with our Olympic Year the children have arrived at school dressed as representatives from countries involved in the Olympics!
As part of our Fireworks and Flames topic, year 1 have been investigating festivals of light, around the world. The year 1 team felt it was important that the children should experience some authentic food from other cultures and therefore made thier way to 'The Last Days of the Raj', in Low Fell.
Here the children enjoyed onion bhaji and pickle, poppadoms, chicken tikka, korma and various salads. Many children that had not expected to enjoy the food, were seen collecting second helpings. Well done kids. It's good to be adventurous!
Look out for us in tonights Evening Chronicle.
Years 1 and 2 have been studying Harvest as part of our Creative Curriculum. They made vegetable soup before learning to write recipe instructions. What better way to enjoy the results than to invite the Carr Hill parents to eat the soup with their children.
Well done! Next stop 'Master Chef'.
Every year, Carr Hill party goers, impress us with magnificent outfits. This year was no different. Look at our stars!
We enjoy special visitors at Carr Hill. Recently we had a visit from the Fire Service and not because the cook had set the fire alarm off either.
He talked to us about avoiding fires at home, what to do in an emergency and how he protects himself whilst he protects us.
We loved trying on his protective clothes and learned a lot about fire safety.
