Bolam Lake

Foundation Stage took full advantage of the recent good weather and visited Bolam Lake. The children collected natural materials to add to their clay tiles before searching the woods for the Gruffalo. We did find his cave but sadly he was not at home.

Foundation Stage enjoy the snow.

Letters and sounds were practiced in the yard on Wednesday. Foundation Stage left their pencils indoors and practiced letter formation in the snow. The children also braved the cold weather to choose Christams trees from Chopwell Woods.

The progress of Foundation Stage children is always exciting to watch. Whilst they begin to learn about the core subjects, creative skills are also very important.

Reception children show their support for Children in Need.

As Children in Need launched their appeal for 2006, Carr HIll raised money for this worth while cause. Children paid £1.00 to 'dress down' or in the case of Miss Rickerby's reception class, 'dress up'.
